As you can see, I haven't updated the blog in some time. School, work, and other personal goals have all gotten in between my build of the ultimate guitar. But this isn't the end of the build, this is simply the rebirth of the idea, for a completely new build. Over time I have gained more and more interest of the Black Strat, and my build was to reflect that beauty. Now with where everything sits, and the vast resources that led me to find EVERYTHING I needed to build the one-of-a-kind guitar, it is until now that I have changed the Gilmour-inspired Strat, to the ULTIMATE BLACK STRAT BUILD! That's right, why try half the guitar when instead I can have the whole package! It took hours of scavenging and months of waiting, but i've collected nearly all the parts required to make this guitar by far the closest NOS Black Strat clone in existence! I'm so excited and cannot wait to get it put together and start playing! Most of the information from previous posts still stand true, but require redefinition. I'll move all old posts with new information that's up to date in the following weeks. I'll also post when the build truly begins, starting with each component used in detail (which includes purchase locations, prices as well as alternatives) and will include detailed photos! Mind you that there are 1 to 2 parts that are original to the age (due to complexity of re-pro or simply unavailability of parts), everything else is RE-PRO and NEW! This is going to be one interesting build and i'm more than happy to share this experience with others on the interwebs! So starting sometime the end of November (10 months since the beginning of this build) I will start the long, wonderful tale of this beautiful Black Strat build that cannot go without record!
